Opposum

An opossum is usually nocturnal and typically not out during the day. Their babies develop in their pouch and sometimes ride on their mother’s back. When threatened, the opossum will go motionless with its eyes closed or staring, as if it were dead. Hence the term “play possum”. They have been known to maintain this motionless state for up to six hours.
